For María Gabriela Santillán, fashion was not something that interested her since she was a child; she even says that in her adolescence, she had no sense of fashion, but over the years, her love for trends grew and she realized that to show her personality she only needed to use the right accessories and know how to combine them, without necessarily being of recognized brands.

Moda Ahora talked to this Girl to Watch from Guayaquil and told us more about her passions, life, and tastes.

Why did you decide to enter the fashion world?

It was born in me to transmit what I know about fashion, what I have been learning, and beauty and trends.

When you started your blog, were there already bloggers in the same place you live?

Many more people were bloggers, and many of them even inspired me.

How does fashion develop in the city where you live?

Currently, fashion in Guayaquil is constantly changing, but it is due to different aspects, such as the weather or each designer’s style. At the moment, I have not been able to attend any event because I’m starting, but I aspire. I know that day will come very soon because the treatment of the brands for the moment has been amiable and exciting in what one transmits through the blog.

In your opinion, how has fashion developed in your city in the last three years?

Fashion during these three years has developed very well with new innovative trends. New brands have been born that adapt to people’s different tastes and styles, which has allowed the fashion market to develop more. I have liked how fashion has been handled these last few years.

What styles or trends do you like the most?

The floral embroidered blouses seem super sweet to me, as well as the transparency because they leave a lot to the imagination. The shoes with silver and gold colors are undoubtedly necessary for our closet, as they can be used both day and night and countless things.

Have you heard about Latin American fashion? What things?

Yes, of course, I have heard about Latin American fashion. Without a doubt an m,anner that advances borders so that the United States and Europe are not the only world power in beauty, trend, and more; this fashion is based on the stereotypes of Latin American women and men, and also this allows designers to be born maybe very ethical of the different cultures of all the countries that are in this continent,

What are the activities that help you stand out the most?

Without a doubt, a good photo, fashion tips, interaction with my followers, and even more when I publish a post on my blog.

What other activities do you do apart from being a blogger?

Apart from being a blogger, I am a mom, a housewife, a student, and a wife, something undoubtedly weighty, almost like a job.

What do you like most about fashion?

What I like most about fashion is that it is retro, without a doubt some clothes that we thought were out of style come back so “we should keep our clothes” because we can certainly use them again.

How would you define your look?

My multifaceted, although I almost always go for the romantic and feminine, because I want to project that women who are housewives can stay beautiful, with a good sense and style of fashion, and that good in case we lack money, we do not need to dress in designer clothes to look beautiful, beautiful and fashionable.

What is the must-have accessory in every fashion lover’s closet?

What should never be missing in our closet is some clothes and accessories in black or neutral colors, which we can combine with everything.
