Designer Book selects an image model; this year, it will be Fanny Célleri. The make-up artists and stylists team will be led by Gabriela Vásquez, Maritza Paredes, and Verónica Benítez, who will advise during the runway.
A new attraction of this fashion event is the alliance with the Ministry of Industries and Productivity, MIPRO, to develop business rounds to promote the textile market through the Project for the Development of Productive Chains – Encadena Ecuador, which will encourage the strengthening of the competitiveness of the industrial and manufacturing sectors.
“More than a fashion event is to develop the entire production chain of the Ecuadorian textile industry, to boost the sector, generate more jobs and improve local supply,” said Maria Susana Rivadeneira, director of the event.
This year, the Designer Book will reaffirm its SlowFashion trend, a sustainable fashion movement associated with ethical and responsible design in all its processes with value in caring for the environment, and together with Guitig, will recognize designers who stand out in this style. “We continue to insist on the importance of generating new entrepreneurs, workers, and responsible consumers to enter into a process of transformation of each individual who consciously contributes to society,” says Carlos Stowhas, General Director of the Project.
