Wearing perfume is one of the most fun moments in our beauty routine, as we select the scent depending on our mood and the occasion.
But there is a correct routine for its application, which is based on making it last as long as possible and preserving the integrity of the aroma.
Apply directly to the skin.
The skin is the perfect canvas on which to place your favorite fragrance, as our body acts as an anchor for the perfume to adhere naturally, and our body’s warmth helps the scent penetrate further.
For a better fixation between the scent and the skin, applying the perfume after using creams or body oils is best since the fragrance lasts longer when moisturizing the skin.
Do not apply to hair.
I’m not going to lie, I’ve done it thinking that the scent would penetrate as well, but perfume is an alcohol-based formula, and it dries out the hair, but if you still want to use it, it’s best to use one that doesn’t have alcohol in it.
Apply at key points
When you use it, it is necessary to use it in the right places, such as in the naturally warm areas, like the inside of the elbows, back of the knees, chest, and the lateral sides of the neck. These areas allow the scent to linger and maintain its essence.
Please don’t rub it
It is customary, but we should stop doing it since applying this should be delicate. When we use perfume, it will settle with our natural oils, but if we rub it, it will fade and evaporate, losing all its aroma.
Passing through a curtain of perfume
Indeed many have done it, and it is a pleasure because we feel a sensation of freshness, but remember that it is still a chemical component. We do not want to get intoxicated, so do not do it with solid perfumes but with scents that are friendlier to our environment.
Don’t be afraid to mix.
Applying perfume is an art; now, if you like, you can not make a mixture of these to complement without overwhelming it with its smell. It is not recommended that you combine entirely different scents, as it will be too overwhelming for you and the people you will be with.
Apply to clothing
Many people like to apply it on clothes, including me since the scent is more impregnated and lasts longer. But we must remember that it cannot be used on all kinds of clothes, much less silk garments, as they tend to stain easily.
