Words cannot do justice to the beautiful island of Aruba, where I spent a few days enjoying a well-deserved vacation.

Located in the Caribbean, north of Venezuela, Aruba has beautiful white beaches and a beautiful climate, although one day it rained, just like in Guayaquil. This little paradise is purely touristy, and its inhabitants speak at least 3 or 4 languages.

When I arrived on a Saturday afternoon, I first visited the places I had nearby and then went out to eat and enjoy a “Farra” on Happy Island. The following two days were spent in the sea doing Stand up Paddle, snorkeling, and touring the coastal area in a quad and on a small island with different water games.

I accept that I missed at least two more days to learn about the island and its tourist center. But I loved enjoying the nature surrounding it and the quality of the people who live there, always attentive and willing to help you have a great time.

Tips if you want to visit this Happy Island:

Stay at least 4 or 5 days to see the whole island.
Snorkeling or diving is a MUST.
Touring the coastal area is a marvel; it will remind you of Salinas.
Go to the natural swimming pool.
Visit a casino; you can start with $5 and walk away.
Hire a tour that will take you to different tourist sites in the city and tell you what life is like from their perspective.
Visit the first lighthouse in the Caribbean.
Bring sunscreen for your face and suntan lotion for your body.
Don’t forget to buy Dutch cheese.

If you have already visited the island, tell me what you liked the most.
