Berenice Benalcazar is a renowned beauty and body care blogger in Quito, which is why she is a great reference when choosing products related to these needs.

This 36-year-old Girl to Watch started in 2016 to have more interaction with the people who follow her on her social networks.

What is your favorite thing about beauty/makeup that you focus on the most?

My blog is focused on skincare, I have a career that supports the information I share (Technologist in Integral Aesthetics), and I am passionate about giving you facial and body care tips so that people who follow me have complete confidence in all the information I publish.

It is not a “copy-paste.”

How do you think the fashion/beauty industry is currently doing in Ecuador?

As I always say, beauty is my thing; in Ecuador, the work of influencers is already being valued, and in my blog, I have collaborations with brands that have hired me to do a job as a brand spokesperson, which is very motivating. I like fashion, and I have a style that I would define as ultra-feminine. Still, I have no professional knowledge about it, so I respect the work of prepared professionals and can give a better opinion on the subject.

What do you think it lacks?

There is still a need for people who manage the representation of some brands to understand an influencer’s work better; in my case, I have people who work with me and have a payment, so my company is my “personal blog” and must be sustained.

How would you define your look?

Oops, tricky question… Heh, heh, heh…

My look focuses on my face, well cared and fresh skin; I also like to make up my eyes to highlight them, and perfect hair is a “must have” for me.

What do you want to project with this one?

That a woman who takes care of herself inside and out is investing in the best way her time and why not her money too! #loveyourself

What is the must-have accessory in every fashion and beauty lover’s closet?

As a beauty blogger, what is never missing are my daily facial care products; every woman should always take the time to care for her skin every day from Sunday to Sunday. There is no room for exceptions.

Regarding fashion, I love shoes; stilettos are the ideal complement for each outfit.

What are the makeup trends you are currently seeing?

I have seen that a fresher style is being used; I explain: A very heavy makeup was done on both face and eyes, but now they are leaving aside the “stiff” skins with a lot of makeup.

I highlight my eyes, and my skin hardly wears foundation-type products.

What would you recommend to people when shooting videos?

Have them make a script of how they want their video so that the time is very productive when they shoot their footage,

The video should accurately reflect your personality without costumes or poses.
